Growing demands on needle-punched nonwoven producers

Today, nonwoven manufacturers operate in an environment of increasing complexity and dynamics. Customer expectations are rising, regulatory requirements are becoming more stringent, and prices for raw materials – as well as labor costs – continue to increase.

Technical end products such as geotextiles, automotive textiles, filter media or needle-punched felts must not only perform reliably, but also maintain defined mechanical, thermal or chemical properties over long periods – often in compliance with strict standards and specifications.

Against this background, needle-punching processes must be designed to remain reliable, adaptable and economically viable, even as materials, products and market requirements continue to evolve.

What do T‑SUPREMA needle‑punching lines offer?

Proven technologies

Efficient designs

Flexibility in regard to configurations and end products

The T-SUPREMA concept combines Trützschler Nonwovens’ process know-how in fiber preparation and web forming with Texnology’s expertise in needle-punching technology to create fully coordinated line configurations. The result is reliable processes, reproducible quality and high suitability for everyday industrial production.

  • Increased process stability thanks to precise fiber preparation, uniform web forming and reproducible needling
  • Reduced downtime through wear resistant machine designs, Clean Concept layouts and easily accessible machine areas
  • High line availability achieved by maintenance friendly constructions and low vibration needling technology
  • Reproducible product quality across large working widths, basis weight ranges and material variants
  • A broad, practice oriented product spectrum without complex changeovers – from fine to coarse fibers and from lightweight to heavyweight technical nonwovens

In this way, T-SUPREMA lines enable efficient, stable and cost effective needle -unched nonwoven production, tailored to real market and product requirements – today and in the future.

What components make up a T-SUPREMA needle-punching system?

The core process steps of a T-SUPREMA line – fiber preparation, carding, web forming and needling – are supplied and coordinated by the two technology partners Trützschler Nonwovens and Texnology s.r.l.

Building on this proven base configuration, each line can be customized to customer specific requirements by integrating additional machines and components from selected partners – precisely aligned with the intended application, product portfolio and production objectives.

T-SUPREMA Compact – the economical solution for needle-punching processes

For newcomers to needle-punched nonwoven production or cost-conscious manufacturers with a clearly focused product portfolio, Trützschler offers a T-SUPREMA line configuration featuring the compact NC-Xe card. This fit for purpose solution deliberately concentrates on what matters most: high web quality, stable processes and easy operation – without the full flexibility of a high-end multi-purpose line.

The NC-Xe card reliably delivers uniform webs and is designed for particularly simple operation and low maintenance. At the same time, deliberate trade-offs in maximum product variety help to reduce investment and operating costs.

This T-SUPREMA variant is therefore ideal for manufacturers seeking proven Trützschler quality without running highly complex or frequently changing applications.
With this compact T-SUPREMA solution, Trützschler demonstrates that reliable technology and economical line concepts are not mutually exclusive – even for straightforward projects with clearly defined production requirements.

Our partner Texnology S.r.l.

The Italian company is a specialist for all machines, components and know-how around mechanical needling. Texnology has been developing and building precise needlelooms, crosslappers, web drafters and other components for more than 40 years.

Experience as a manufacturer of high-quality nonwovens has been incorporated into many design decisions. Since then the primary goal is to make it easy for the line operator to work with Texnology machinery. The focus is on easy handling, reduction of maintenance and minimization of downtime.

Frequently asked questions about T-SUPREMA

Where can I see or even test T-SUPREMA?

T-SUPREMA is installed at the Trützschler Nonwovens Customer & Technology Center (NCTC) in Egelsbach, Germany, where it can be experienced live and tested under industrial conditions. Trials can be carried out with a wide variety of fibers and basis weights – from lightweight to heavyweight technical needle-punched nonwovens. The line includes:

  • T-BLEND fiber preparation from Trützschler
  • Web forming with an NCT-X card and Trützschler crosslapper
  • Needling with two Texnology needlelooms (including felt drafter)
  • Scanner, accumulator and winder.
Does T-ONE run on T-SUPREMA needle-punching lines?

Yes. T-ONE can be used on all nonwoven production lines, including T-SUPREMA needle-punching lines.

At the NCTC, a dedicated pilot scale version of T-ONE is in operation that integrates all machines of the T-SUPREMA line.

Can T-SUPREMA lines grow with my requirements?

Yes. T-SUPREMA lines are modular by design and can grow with customer requirements.

The prerequisite is sufficient available space, allowing extensions such as an extended card, additional needlelooms or further unwinders and end of line components to be integrated.
