1973

  Incorporation of Bastian & Co

   Horst Bastian, Werner Kambach and Siegfried Heese jointly incorporate a company, Bastian & Co., for the manufacturing of winders for the textile industry.

1980

  Foundation of Bastian Wickeltechnik GmbH 

   New applications for winders were identified. The product portfolio of the newly found Bastian Wickeltechnik GmbH now includes automatic winders for web-shaped materials such as nonwovens, film. Paper and composite materials. 

1990

  Delivery of the first horizontal slide winder for the film industry

   A new generation of winders improves the roll quality especially of thin films. The first of these winder is delivered to a European customer.

1995

  Bastian is the winder of choice for the first Fleissner spunlace line

   The first Fleissner AquaJet line is delivered with an automatic Bastian winder.

1997

  The short-roll winder sees the light of day

   A customer in Finland receives the first short roll winder – equipped with Bastian’s unique engagement system.

1999/2000

  Bastian develops its product program

   The first highly flexible “new generation” automatic winder with support roll system and the first unwinder are delivered into Asia and Germany respectively.

  Delivery of the 1000th winder

  A new high-speed winder for films

2012

  TRÜTZSCHLER NONWOVENS takes over the knowhow and product range
