Trützschler is not only aligned with legal requirements, but proactively integrates the topics of sustainability and socio-ecological responsibility into its corporate strategy. We pursue the target of climate-neutral production worldwide by 2035. To ensure climate-neutral processes that are also operationally safe, we are taking concrete measures in the following areas:
Since February 2019, we have been certified according to DIN EN ISO 50001. With this certification, we are committed to continuously improving our own energy efficiency in a measurable way. To this end, we are increasingly using energy-efficient products, services and processes.
We are a partner of VDMA’s Blue Competence sustainability initiative. Its aim is to promote sustainability in the mechanical engineering industry and to make sustainable solutions known to the industry. As a partner, we commit to follow the 12 sustainability guidelines of the mechanical engineering industry.
In addition, we are a member of the VEA initiative "Climate-friendly medium-sized businesses", through which we promote energy efficiency, the use of climate-friendly energies and climate protection projects.

We contribute to sustainable aviation by promoting innovative fuel technology. We order Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at the Lufthansa Group, which is not made from fossil fuels, but from used cooking oils or agricultural waste. Compared to conventional kerosene, SAF saves at least 80 % of carbon emissions across the entire value chain – immediately reducing flight-related CO2 emissions.
